We don’t usually travel this time of year because Cleveland is so wonderful in the summer, but my son begged to go on vacation. Jeff has traveled non-stop for work this year, and my boys aced their freshman year in college.

As for me, since I opened the store in October, I have been running myself absolutely ragged.

I still stage homes, sell real estate, and source non stop. After doing two markets last weekend and promptly getting sick yet again, I realized that I need to slow down. How I’m going to do that is TBD but for this week, I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to rest and spend quality time with my family! 🫶

In order to not dilute any of the shopping experiences, I have decided to close the store Saturday and Sunday.

Two markets, two opportunities and two very different experiences!

The Cleveland Vintage Boutique Market is a smaller, more intimate market featuring only highly curated vintage finds.

Another trip, another opportunity. I took my first overseas trip when I was 8 years old and it has shaped my life ever since. Travel opens your eyes and appreciation to other ways and lifestyles. Even if it’s just a quick weekend trip to Florida, I never turn down the chance to dig a little deeper. I guess that’s the long winded way of saying Im returning with some cool stuff for y’all.
(Also I went from South African to Southern overnight it seems)

St. Patrick’s Day calls for cabbage. ☘️

I personally have a bit of an obsession with Portuguese Cabbage ware. History tells it that in the late 1800s, Portuguese artist Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro turned the humble cabbage into ceramic plates as a playful jab at the wealthy and their ornate tables. The joke stuck—and cabbage ware became an icon, much replicated.

We will be open tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day. No boiled cabbage… but we will have Guinness. Stop in and grab a pint with us!

Guys, not to brag, but I’m an horologist now. After extensive research, with the help of a magnifying glass, tiny screwdriver and clock oil I got this guy ticking! At first it wasn’t keeping accurate time but after 4 days it caught up and I’m giddy.

Friday favorite! I’m a sucker for small, beautifully presented art and this one immediately caught my eye. A detailed panorama of Warsaw along the Wisła River, signed by Polish artist Bogusław Brandt.

The piece is done as a copperplate engraving (miedzioryt) — an old printmaking method where the image is carved into a copper plate and then pressed onto paper. You can see it in the incredibly fine linework that brings out the rooftops, towers, and boats along the river.

The color is hand-applied, which gives it that soft, slightly imperfect charm I love in vintage prints.

Finished in a beautiful gilt frame with a soft green liner, it’s one of those quiet pieces that makes a shelf or gallery wall feel instantly more collected.
